Dr. Williams directs the centre and treats a wide variety of problems in children, teens, and adults using leading-edge, research-based CBT techniques. She conducts individual, group and family therapy. She is a Developmental Psychologist and brings this knowledge to her work with children and teens. She is also a leading clinical expert in CBT for depression and anxiety and she trains clinicians across Canada in CBT. She has worked on the CBT Unit at the former Clarke Institute of Psychiatry in Toronto (now CAMH), at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, the Mood Disorders program at the former Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital, the Adolescent Program and Eating Disorders Clinic at McMaster University Medical Centre, and the Child and Family Centre at Chedoke Hospital, Hamilton. She maintained an appointment for 8 years as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University.
Dr. Williams has written a workbook for depressed and anxious teens. This book is used by the teens and adults she treats as well as by many clinicians working with adolescents. This workbook is currently being used by a number of hospitals treating adolescents in the Greater Toronto Area as well as in Vancouver, Edmonton, Regina, and numerous other smaller centres in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the North West Territories.

In addition to working individually or in groups with children, teens and adults with a wide variety of problems, Sandra has in-depth experience treating individuals with depression, anxiety and eating disorders. She has also conducted extensive research in these areas and has worked at the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry in

In addition to working with children, teens, and adults, with a wide variety of problems, Tina has expertise in working with children and adults who have experienced trauma. Tina uses practical problem-solving approaches and CBT in her work. She is also a leading expert in play therapy. In addition to working at our centre, Tina is also a Professor at Humber College where she has been working for 10 years teaching child and adolescent development, emotional and behavioural problems in children and teens, and therapeutic interventions. She was also an instructor at Ryerson University for 6 years teaching advanced therapeutic interventions. In addition, Tina has worked at a number of child and adolescent centres in the GTA conducting individual, family, and group therapy in addition to running many parenting workshops.
